Wanted: A place that we can use to help ourselves to be free of the shackles of modernity

I am a gardener and sculptor, myself and my partner want to become more self sufficient and closer to nature. We were lucky enough to have tasted this lifestyle through past employments and accommodation, but not to fully accomplish our dream to live a more sustainable life. We are looking for somewhere to make our own , to have space to grow food and healing herbs, Make wines and tonics, keep chickens. A place to write poetry and meditate, teach grandchildren the names of the wild flowers and birds. A place that we can use to help ourselves to be free of the shackles of modernity. Solar panels , coppiced wood for fuel, Polytunnel ,orchard and veg patch ,all balanced with the encouragement of the local flora and fauna and the creation where possible of habitats full of diversity. An Eden place to escape and be. A place to shape slowly over the years grow old and die. A place to be buried and turn back to earth. Left to the enjoyment and fulfillment of future generations. An oasis of tranquility in a violent world ,a dream of something better a symbol of hope. Not asking much is it ? 🙂
