About UKLandandFarms.co.uk (UKLAF)
UKLandandFarms.co.uk was an online marketplace for buyers of UK land, farms and rural property to find the latest listings from leading agents.
The website was started in mid-2008 by The Agricultural Mortgage Corporation plc (‘AMC’). AMC was founded in 1928 as a joint venture between The Bank of England and clearing banks.
Some 80 years after being founded, AMC held the vision that a central website was needed to bring rural property buyers and agents together. And so, with the web development help of Flare Imaging, AMC built and launched UKLandandFarms.co.uk.

This 55-Acre English Estate Owned By A Rolling Stones Legend Is On Sale — For Less Than You Might Expect
Halsdon House, the 17th century Grade II listed country home of Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, is on the market for £2.75 million (about S$4.7 million). Set on 55 acres in rural Devon above the River Torridge valley, the 8,593 sq ft estate includes nine bedrooms, multiple reception rooms, a library, and equestrian facilities. Positioned as more of a legacy asset than a typical investment purchase, the property reflects both historic value and countryside seclusion.
Green Allotments: Finding land for allotments
Finding land for allotments - Green Allotments
Suitable Land Searching for Land Contaminated Land A BIG part of The New Allotment Site Fund is you telling us about suitable land for new allotment sites. You can use the information below to help you find suitable land to tell us about. Size of land: Approximately 1 to 3 acres is a practical size for an allotment site, with space for additional biodiversity enhancements/improvements. A bigger size may cause too much disruption to the local community. A smaller size may mean there are insufficient plot numbers to get active community-led management and environmental stewardship going on the new allotment site. It may sound obvious, but allotment sites need to be close to where people live, so that they can get to their allotment often. Road safety is a major concern for councils and residents. Land that cannot be safely accessed (e.g. on a fast road, or in an area… Read more
