I'm not that tied to a particular area. I would consider Invernesshire (not in the bleaker areas or in the middle of a peat bog), Moray, the Borders, all over Wales, Dorset, Devon, Somerset, Wiltshire. What I'm after is a cottage (2-3 bedrooms) with land away from roads. I'd consider derelict, in need of renovation or immediately liveable. Min 5 acres, max 40ish. Ideally about 20-30 acres with some woodland and either a river, lake or coast close by.
